Here are Olivia, Sophie and Sam trick-or-treating. This year, Luke was too old to go with me so he went with some friends instead.

DoWn aNd DerBy

Luke was so excited about his first Derby Race. This year the boys made all the cars themselves at the church,with minimal help from their dads. I think Luke's car kind of looked like the Mystery machine in Scooby Doo. He had a lot of fun and said he didn't care that he didn't win.

This was the coolest show ever. The dinosaurs looked so real.

SleDdiNg in MiDwaY

We headed up to Midway for the weekend after New Years to do some sledding. Our time sledding was very short because it was freeeeezing and windy! Olivia managed to make a few runs but the rest of us wimped out and went back to the condo. The kids had fun in the hot tub and playing guitar hero. We had a memorable time on Parker's birthday waiting for the pizza guy--and waiting and waiting!

Here is what Santa brought:
for Olivia: DS
Sophie: a baby--she loves this & carries it around everywhere
Sam: a barn full of animals
Luke: a BYU jersey (as of today, Luke is on his 6th straight day wearing it--I told him starting tomorrow he can only wear it once a week)
For the whole family: a wii with guitar hero

On the FiRsT Day of Christmas ...

Decorating cookies for Santa:
Last night we made some sugar cookies to decorate, and saved some for Santa. Sophie is a natural with the rolling pin--she just grabbed it and started rolling out the dough. Sam was having fun with the sprinkles trying to get the layer of sprinkles as thick as he could. Instead of eating her cookie, Sophie dipped her fingers in the bowl of sprinkles and then ate them.

Making gingerbread houses:
We're getting ready for our 4th annual Raven Family Gingerbread House contest. Here we are beginning our design. I'll post our final design once the contest is over--its top secret!
